Instead of having a vague goal of “increasing my income” make your goals specific. Something like, “I will increase my income to $10,000/month by selling my soap carving online course by the end of this year in ClickBank as a product seller.”
Now, what are the things that you need to make this goal to fruition?
Maybe you need to create a lesson plan? Probably buy your camera to record how to carve a soap bar? Or maybe write your first eBook or hire a ghostwriter to save time?
I’ve put together these 8 steps that you can use how to achieve goals that are useful if you want to successfully attain them.
Once you implement these goal-setting steps, you can literally apply them to anything to want to achieve in life.
Because yes – it’s possible!
Putting your goals on paper will give you a much greater chance of success than keeping them in your head. To help you do this, fill out the SMART GOAL blueprint worksheet below. This SMART GOAL blueprint becomes your statement of intent. The process of writing down your goal will help your mind embed to accept the commitment to work towards this $10K/month target income.
Ever since we were a child, we were told to set goals, strive, and attain them. Like, go to school. Get a good job. Raise a family. Save for retirement.
You have to understand that the moment you set goals, you already know what you want and what steps to take from an objective point of view. Now, if you’re feeling lost and don’t know what you want or where to start, I recommend that you read my Self-Discovery 3-Part Blog Series.
I hope this will give you a head start.
If you have a big or long-term goal, narrow your focus by breaking your big goal into smaller goals. Set a deadline for each of your smaller or short-term goals. Because setting smaller goals or short-term goals will give you the confidence to pursue your bigger goals in a most effective step-by-step process.
Most of us failed and give up due to overwhelmed because of having too much to do and our emotion is solely attached to making money fast. Understand that small goals are easier to achieve on a daily basis, which means you can set them more often and constantly see yourself getting better and moving forward in achieving your SMART goal.
A short-term goal is something achieved in a shorter period of time such as a week to a couple of months. A long-term goal is something that takes a longer period of time to accomplish.
Goal: Earn $10,000/month by December this year in ClickBank. Instead of putting your focus to earn $10,000/month, be more specific and specify clearly your actions and how you can get there. Identify the steps you are taking and make your goal SMART!
What do you want to accomplish?
For example:
I will grow my business so I earn $10,000 per month in ClickBank by creating my digital product about the soap carving workshop and listing my product in the ClickBank Marketplace by December this year.
How do you know you can accomplish that goal? A measurable goal should address questions such as how much or how many.
If your target income goal is $10,000/month. How much do you intend to sell your product? And if you combine your effort with your own army of affiliates, how many you think you can sell per month?
Play with your sales projection number that is possible for you.
How can that goal be accomplished? What steps would you do to meet that goal? Your goal also needs to be realistic for you to successfully attain it.
For example:
Why is it important that you devote your time to this goal? What can this goal do for you in the future? Make sure that the goal you set matters to you so you will get motivated to work towards it and stick with it.
For example:
Set a deadline for your smaller goals and bigger goals.
For example:
Setting a deadline will help you manage your time effectively and allows you to simplify your focus and set your priorities to work on each day to make progress on your goals.
The Secret to “getting from where you are to where you want to be,” has gone through years of research on how the brain works and how we are wired as human beings as it pertains to goal setting. Because success in life is all about achieving your goals with a set deadline.
We often failed in achieving goals because we can easily lose our focus, procrastinate, and get victimized by shiny object syndrome at the expense of our goal. Understand that those people who are successfully making money in ClickBank, have been through the step-by-step process of achieving their daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals.
It’s easy to set and write bigger goals, but sticking with it? That’s another story.
The problem with bigger goals is the commitment to achieving them. I know that small goals like $10K aren’t as exciting as the 1 Million target goal. The power of hitting smaller goals gradually is much easier to stick with and see real results than giving up your dreams.
Identifying the steps how to achieve your short-term goals is crucial because smaller goals are directly connected to your bigger or long-term goals.
The most crucial about achieving goals is the first step when you intentionally set and write your goals. Because your first step creates momentum for you to move forward to attaining what you want.
If you haven’t made any money in ClickBank, I’ve been there…
Reflect and ask yourself these questions:
Once you’ve come up with your SMART goal, manage your time effectively because how to achieve goals will be an uphill battle if you don’t take your time seriously. You have to get serious about avoiding distractions and becoming too immersed when working towards your smaller goals.
Pay attention to how you use your precious little time.
If you write down your steps on how to meet your SMART goals, then find a peaceful place where you can work on your tasks. Turn off all social media alerts, off your phone, no email checking, and immerse yourself in doing your work.
What’s most important is to have some peace of mind and be better able to focus on the task at hand.
Make a checklist of all those things that you need to get done. You can instantly download my goal-setting templates here and tick them when you have already completed your task.
Organize your lists and don’t do it all at once. Start small. Checklists are used to remind you of steps in a process for completing all the things that you need to get done. Me, I love to have my things to do checklist every time I am working on something. Also, learned the importance of going over the list a second time to ensure you didn’t miss anything.
This kind of check and balance is critical when achieving goals because we are all human and we can easily be distracted and get bombarded by so much information around us.
That’s why goal-setting templates and checklists can help you get focused and work towards your task completion.
When we reward ourselves for the hard work we have done, this will help us get motivated and not give up our dreams. Because when we give ourselves treats, our brain produces dopamine allowing us to feel good about what we have accomplished.
So, don’t cheat yourself, treat yourself because there is no such thing “shortcut to success”. You really need to create your own system and work on your system. Systems tell you what you need to do every day to attain goals bit by bit.
Regardless of the reason why you want to achieve goals in ClickBank, always remember the relevancy of WHY is it important that you devote your time to this goal. So when you hit a roadblock on the way, think back to what made you begin to write your SMART goal and this might be your inspiration for why you need to keep moving.
